Northern Virginia in the fall is breathtaking. Everyone kept telling us how beautiful it was going to be--but you really have to see it to believe it. The colors are spectacular. It is a rainbow of reds, oranges, yellows, maroons, and greens. And when the sun shines on them they light up like I imagine the Tree of Life would look with the leaves shimmering. I can't seem to take enough pictures--so I hope this doesn't bore anyone. But I wanted to show as much variety as I could. As you drive down the freeways, each side is a kaleidoscope of color. It looks like a painters pallet with paint colors all swirled together. This first group is mostly on the freeways with just a couple in our neighborhood. The next group will be of neighborhoods. ENJOY.
This is looking out our front door.
This tree is around the corner from our home. Each day when we pass it, I'm stunned.
Our neighbors again.
