THE PENTAGON AND AIRFORCE MEMORIALS

These two memorials are both unique and inspiring. These first pictures show the Airforce memorial. It represent the planes going into the sky and stands out against the sky with great majesty. They are incredibly beautiful. President and I stopped and visited these memorials on our way home from the airport when we dropped off the Walkers.

The Pentagon Memorial is really special. It is made up of benches. Each one representing a person killed in the attack at the pentagon on Sept 11. if the bench points towards the building the person died in the building, if it points away from the building it means they died in the plane that hit the building. Each one is marked with the name and has water running underneath them.. It is really very peacful. And when the trees have grown larger it will be very special. At the end of each row is the year those people were born. The youngest being 3 and the oldest being 78. It sits right outside the area where the plane struck the building.
