THE OLD POST OFFICE

The Old Post Office was originally built in the early 1900's. It is beautiful inside and used as a shopping and foot court. You can take an old elevator to the top and have the best view of the Washington DC area. It is almost as tall as the Washington Monument, but has large windows all the way around and you have full open views of the whole city. It was wonderful. Also housed at the top are some bells that were a gift from Great Britain to the US and are a copy of the ones in the Cathedral in England. They are only played on special occasions.
