AN ADDED BONUS FOR THE HOLIDAYS--FAMILY

It was such a joy for me have my oldest daughter, Nicole Sinquefield and her husband, Taylor and 4 children: Bailey, Payton, Cannon, and Romney and my mother: Joyce Wasden come and stay with us for a few weeks at Christmas time. We enjoyed every minute of their visit. We tried to pack as much as we could into our already busy schedule. They loved interacting with the missionaries and attending all the mission activities. They especially got to know Elders Gifford and Ross and the kids had a great time learning to rope, play games, and decorate gingerbread houses with them. Taylor felt like a missionary again and wanted to spend pretty much every minute with the Assistants. They played ball a couple of mornings, but mostly he loved going with them to meetings and lessons, and tracting and teaching. Taylor is a real missionary at heart. He is a great motivational speaker himself and was able to do some training with the missionaries about leadership and accomplishing goals.
We visited DC sites about every other day for a couple of hours. (the best schedule for kids). We had a tour of the capitol building. We took the amtrack (train) to DC and went to the Natural History Museum (so the girls could see the dinosaurs). We visited the National Mall and saw the Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean War, and Washington Memorials, Went to the Pentagon Memorial. We spent a couple of hours at Arlington Cemetary on the bus and felt the great spirit there. We went to Mt. Vernon and spent a couple of hours in the museum. And we went to the temple and saw the lights and Taylor participated in our program there. It was a fun filled holiday season and having family here was an added bonus.
