MCLEAN & OAKTON ZONE CONFERENCE

Our last Zone Conference was on Fri. April 2 at the Oakton Stake Center. The Mclean Zone also attended. The Zone leaders are Elders Metcalf and Jones in Mclean and Johnson and Jeppesen in Oakton. Our conferences have followed the same format each day. Pres has given opening remarks about our goal of 500, the Changes we are making, and a doctrinal understanding of our Purpose. I got to follow with a presentation on The Purpose and the birth of Preach My Gospel. The zone leaders taught an inviting with purpose skills practice. Elders Cordner and Holmgren gave the car report together. After a break for lunch, the afternoon session included a musical number. In this zone it was Elders Johson, Ika, and Jeppesen singing "Lord I would follow thee.". Then Pres and I took turn talking about "Prayer". The AP's did a skills practice on Inviting the head of the household to say a kneeling prayer. We had testimonies from the departing missionaries and a testimony meeting. Then Pres. gave closing remarks. Both Zones above and silly Mclean Zone below
