A VISIT TO THE JAMBOREE

The first day we visited the jamboree was on Thurs The temperature was around 96 and the humidity was about the same. We stayed about 3 hours and then they had this huge rainstorm with gigantic rain drops. Everyone was drenched in a matter of seconds Lots of thunder and lightning, It cooled things off for about a half an hour and then it started steaming from th ground up. Good thing scouts are young and in shape. This is Don Ellison, from our mission. He was one of the people on the committee for the Mormon booth. He met us at the gate when we came in and helped us get started.
A fishing pond.

This is a map of the whole camp. It is about 30 football fields across.
The welcome and sign in tent for visitors. and a trading post with things to buy

There were probably 100 tents this size and of course a 1000 small ones.
trading patches is BIG
