THE NAMELESS NEWSLETTER

Each month the mission has a newsletter.  We are having a contest to come up with a good name for it. So next month we'll announce the winning name.  The news letter includes
1. Momentous Miracles from Magnificent Missionaries
2. Car Czar news
3. Letter from President and wife
4.  Lists of departing and arriving missionaries
5.  List of trainers
6. List of new Converts
7. Happy Birthday list
8. Note from office elders
9. Notes from Office staff, Sis. Holmgren, Elder Holmgren, and Sis. Cordner

Our Car Czar, Elder Corder wrote a creative note:
Do not Pass, On Curve or Hill
If the Cops Don't Catch You, The Morticians Will

And Elder Holmgren, our Finance Sec. wrote:
The BAD news is that missionaries live on a tight budget.  We are dealing with sacred funds and their allocation is carefuly monitored.  The GOOD news is that if you keep this discipline after your mission you will all end up millionaires!

President Albright gets dozens of miracles mailed to him in the emails he receives weekly from the missionaries.  These are such a special part of the calling to be able to read these stories and feel the excitement and spirit of the missionaries as they recall the wonderful things happening to them.  Here a just a couple of them from this month:

This week we tracted into a lady who opened up the door and said, "Boys, I am so glad to see you! I have been waiting for you guys to come. I am not happy in my life right now and I want to change.  She asked us if we had any videos that she could watch.  We went to the car and brought the 'Restoration' ad watched it with her.  Afterwards she told us that ten years earlier she had taken the lessons and knew the church was true, and the movie solidified for her again.  She then proceeded to say, "I smoke and I drink coffee. What else do I need to do or give up to become a member of the Mormon Church?"  We don't hear those words very often!

When we were tracting we knocked at a house and I noticed two people were in the back of the house working in the yard.  I yelled several times, but no one replied.   I felt prompted to yell one more time.  The man came over and told us that he had been reading a book that he felt was just as important as the Bible, if not more important.  He had been reading not only the Book of Mormon but the Pearl of Great Price.  His scriptures had markings of pen and pencil on almost every page.  He had been praying that the Mormon missionaries would knock on his door again, and then we showed up.  When he arrived at church on Sunday, the ward members were great to welcome him.  I am so grateful for the members and their support.  He should be baptized next week.

This week we re-taught our investigator couple about the restoration of the gospel and priesthood keys.  We all knelt in prayer together and they accepted the invitation to be baptized.  They have to be married first, so the next day they went to get all their papers for a marriage license.  We received a call saying something was wrong with his passport and the embassy was not going to issue the proper paper work.  We knew God wanted them to be baptized so we immediately kneeled down in our apartment and asked the Lord to provide a way for them to be married.  We just received a call this morning saying that for some reason the embassy miraculously gave him his passport and they are getting married as planned.  I am so grateful to be part of this work!

  2. I loves the missionaries stories. It reminds me of just how great life is as a missionary. The Church is true, miracle do happen, but in daily life we sometimes fail to see that, but as missionaries you see it every where. What a blessing.
