MT. VERNON IS A SPECIAL PLACE

On Saturday, Jan. 8th we took a little excursion to Mt. Vernon with the Assistants-Elders Ross and Bell, Office Elders-Elders Scoble and Johnson and 2 sweet Sisters--Arnett and Malmberg. Saturdays are the office's Prep day (although they usually work on that day also) and so we snuck them away to see Mt Vernon because non of them had visited there. We think it is a special, quite sacred place. It has a very special spirit about it. Anyway, it was pretty cold, so we all bundled up. We enjoyed the grounds, the home itself , the movies, and the museum. We took them to lunch on the way home and had a really nice afternoon. Then it was back to work.In front of Mt Vernon (it looks much different in the summer and winder). Elders Scoble and Johnson, Sisters Malmberg and Arnett, Pres. Albright, Elders Ross and Bell.
