Baptism of Alfred Kanu

Another wonderful Saturday, with 6 scheduled baptisms.  We actually went to Washington DC this morning to see a daughter of some of our Las Vegas Friends.  Their daughter is here in Washington for college and we visited her in the neatest, old dorm with so much character and personality.  I think it was built in the early 1900's . Courtney is a beautiful young lady.  What a great experience to go to school here in the heart of DC.

We attended the baptism of a Bro. Alfred Kanu.  This man is from  Sierra Leon, Africa.  He had a wonderful spirit and we enjoyed meeting him and his friends and family that attended.  Elder Sackett sang a touching number.  His voice is just pure and really beautiful.  He was a member of "Vocal Point" a 9 man group from BYU that sings 9 part harmonies.  He made this group as a freshman at BYU.  He is also an incredibly gifted piano player.  We are blessed to have him in our mission to share his talents with us.  Elder Hall gave a great talk on the Holy Ghost.  You can see why these 2 missionaries are leaders in the mission.
