Catoctin Ward Baptism

 Sunday evening Pres. and I drove north to the Ashburn Zone to attend a baptism in the Catoctin  Ward in Hamilton. This area has become a favorite.  The tree lined streets and rolling hillsides covered with lovely homes is magnificent.   This ward has many wonderful saints who really support missionary work.  

This baptism was for a Sister named Jeanne Webster.  She is newly married to a member and he introduced the gospel to her.  Her two sons, Connor and Drew Boram were also baptized.  They are 11 and 13 yrs. old.  Sisters Jordan and Banks were the sisters involved in giving the lessons to this family.  They are such sweet sisters and the Catoctin ward just loves them dearly.  Elder Loppe is the District leader who did the baptism interviews.  His companion, Elder Simmons had the opportunity of performing all 3 baptisms.  This was a great experience for Elder Simmons.  Sister Jordan gave the talk on the Holy Ghost.  She is such a gentle and spiritual sister.  She has served in this ward for 6 months now and is very close to the members.  

We met a wonderful family in the ward, the Kidds.  They have housed missionaries for years in their home and are beloved by the missionaries.  Sister Banks who is here on her very first transfer has brought a very sweet, and hardworking spirit. She and Sis Jordan are perfect together.  They both love to tract and reach alot of people this way.  They do alot of run tracting since the houses are so far apart.  Sister Banks took a tumble run tracting and the picture show her battle wounds from the fall. We visited with the members for an hour after the service.  We feel very warm and welcome in this ward.  Thanks Catoctin members.
