Living in northern Virginia is a little like living in a MAZE. You know those kind they have in the fall at the fairs with corn fields to run through. We went through an unbelievable maze at the pineapple plantation in Hawaii. It's one of the world's largest and you get timed on how fast you can get through it. Well the streets here could challenge any maze. The sides of the roads are like 2 large beautiful green walls of trees, shrubs and ivy. It is beautiful, but thank heavens for Sis Garmin (our GPS) we can figure out where we are going (Most of the time). Here are some pictures to show how small roads, neighborhoods, highways and even the freeways are all secluded by trees. It's impossible to tell if you are going South, north, east, or west. In Las Vegas, we just look to the Mountains and can always see a landmark to determine where we are and which way to head.
It really is spectacular though, all this green. Even the church parking lots are surrounded by green walls of nature. Some of the pictures show Pres Albright in the parking lot at the Oakton chapel and hiding in the greenery behind the parking lot. I Love it.
