WEEKEND WARRIORS

Our own army of missionaries or warriors here in Washington DC South have had a wonderful weekend filled with lots and lots of baptisms and miracles.  It has been a busy, fulfilling, and uplifting 2 days.  We left the house on Saturday morning at around 9:00 and headed for Mt. Vernon for the first baptism.  This baptism was in the Kingstowne Ward and was for a young 16 year old sister named Maytinee Ching-in (Mae). She was a darling young lady who has been to young women's camp and on the Trek and has gained a testimony of this wonderful work.  Elders Yazzie and Schaelling were the ward missionaries and Elders Dunn and Wallace came also. Elder Dunn was instrumental in the teaching also and came back to give a the talk on baptism.  He is a very smart young man and did an excellent job. The musical number was really special: Elders Schaelling and Yazzie both played guitar and the two of them and Elder Dunn sang: Sweet Hour of Prayer"  It was really done beautifully and brought a great spirit.  Elder Schaelling had the privilege of performing the baptism.  So exciting for a missionary.  Elder Yazzie gave the closing prayer.  Young people are such great converts!
