CHANGES COME TO THE MISSION FIELD

WOW!. We've been here a year and feel like we finally know the program, the routine. We can remember what comes next and what week we are in of the transfer cycle. It's comfortable. But it's always good to have changes when you get comfortable, especially if new and better ways have been found. So we are making Changes.

With the new group of mission presidents coming the 1st of July, a new program has been started by the missionary department.
Our schedule has been changed.
We now will only be having Zone Confernces once a quarter (every other transfer) and doing interviews once a quarter (the opposite transfer from zone conf).
We will now be having Zone Leadership every month.
We will be having Leadership Training Meetings each transfer that include Assistants, Zone Leaders, District Leaders, and Trainers. This includes about 50 elders. This training can last from 1-4 days and focuses on training our missionaries to be better trained teachers. The district leaders take what they learn back to their district during district meetings which are held each Monday Morning.
We will be having other special trainings as necessary, for Example: Spanish training, sister training, etc
The missionary department has produced new and improved training materials that are fabulous. We are very excited about these materials. Especially the new DVDS, District Two.
It's exciting to have change. Keeps us on our toes.
There is a new cirriculum. It is very focused, very inspired. Includes 8 lessons:

The Doctrine of Christ
The Role of the Holy Ghost in Conversion
Teach People--not lessons
The Process of Revelation
Revelation through Prayer
Revelation through the Book of Mormon
Revelation Through Church attendance
We Invite, They Commitment, We Follow Up
How to Begin Teaching

This really simplifies our having to come up with themes, and lessons, and presentations for conferences and trainings Thank you Salt Lake.
