OUR BIG TREE LOSES HEART

We have this incredibly beautiful, large, perfectly shaped round tree in the front yard of the mission home. When we came out today, we found that the heart of the tree had broken off and fallen towards the front lawn. I hope it survives. I guess we are lucky it didn't fall towards the cars or the house. There has been a lot of damage from fallen trees during the rain and wind storms here this summer. It is way bigger than it looks. After it was cut up into pieces, it took a large trailer filled about 6 feet high to haul it away.

The branch that broke out was about 12 inches across and maybe 30 feet tall.
